How Hubbell is Going Contactless During COVID-19

Throughout COVID-19, Hubbell Realty Company has continued to evaluate how we can best serve our homeowners, clients and partners while keeping health and well being top of mind for our associates and the general public. At the end of the day, technology has really been the catalyst of helping us achieve these goals.

Shortly after closing our offices to the public, we began offering virtual tours of our homes, apartments and communities through means like FaceTime, Skype, Google Meet, and more specialized apps like UTour, which allows potential homeowners to tour, without an agent, through our available homes. Each of our homes are now equipped with contactless technology that allows potential buyers to unlock, tour and re-lock homes in all of our communities. Our apartment leasing teams now walk visitors through the apartment home floorpan, community spaces and get up close to finishes and the details that matter. All questions can be answered on the call and in many cases, residents are signing leases site unseen (in-person).

At our corporate office, we implemented the capability to e-sign documents to close on homes, pay dues and other documents - items which were historically done in person until COVID-19. With newly integrated technology, the homeowner can now sign from anywhere at any time allowing our teams to keep the processes moving.

Once our doors reopen to visitors, we will utilize a Guest Management System (GMS) - a computerized sign in at our entrance - instead of having visitors meeting face-to-face with our receptionists. The GMS allows visitors to enter their name, contact information, who they are visiting and then, moments later, the system sends a text directly to the associate's phone, notifying them their visitor has arrived.

Finally, as you travel to our job sites and properties throughout Central Iowa, you'll continue to see our large postings about monitoring for symptoms and in all cases, a mask requirement if you are able to enter into our buildings. This is for everyone's wellbeing - yours, our residents, our clients and ourselves.
