Embarq Signature Homes, a West Des Moines-based custom homebuilding company has entered production, according to the company’s leadership. Embarq, under the ownership of Hubbell Realty Company, will focus primarily on custom-built homes for homebuyers looking to create unique, tailormade homes within the greater Central Iowa area.
“A lot of our current clients are bringing their own land and lots, but we are fully customizable and even have some exclusive plans to share if their vision isn’t defined yet,” said Steph Reed, Embarq’s Director of Operations. “With a combined 100 years of experience among our five-person team, we’re excited to simplify the custom-building process, enhance owner options and add more housing options to this booming market.”
Embarq homes will range from $600,000 up to $1.5 million with a goal of building 15 homes in the first year.
While under the Hubbell Realty Company umbrella, Embarq is unrelated to the longstanding Hubbell Homes production homebuilder, founded in 1998, which currently focuses primarily on speculative single-family, townhomes, villas, and brownstone homes.
“We believe that having a fully customizable homebuilding division only enhances Hubbell’s longstanding footprint in this marketplace. We see there is a demand for custom homes, and we believe Embarq’s simplified approach and experienced team will deliver on those demands,” said Joe Pietruszynski, Senior Vice President with Hubbell Realty Company.
Embarq is currently purchasing lots to build showcase signature homes where homebuyers can get inspiration on various options for interior and exterior finishes. Homebuyers are encouraged to come with floorplan inspiration; however, Embarq will work with clients and architectural professionals to design their custom home vision.
