MB2 Raceway Iowa began working with Hubbell back in 2014, and chose Grimes Distribution Center as the perfect location. We recently spoke with Mark D. Bonnell, the MB2 Raceway Iowa president, about our partnership.
What do you look for in the perfect space for your business?
In our business, we look for location, building size, pole spacing, the over-all appeal of an area and the actual business park, as well as the leasing rate and the ability of our partner to understand the needs of our unconventional business.
Tell us about your business.
MB2 Raceway is an indoor karting and corporate entertainment facility. We host everything from casual arrive-and-drive racing to full blown corporate team-building with catering, entertainment, and competitive Grand Prix Racing programs. We also have a complete arcade and host family events and birthday parties for groups of all ages.
What made Hubbell Property Management the right partner for you and your business?
Everyone on the Hubbell team was actively involved in making our business a reality from the first contact until our grand opening. The ability to have the option of a build-to-suit lease with the flexibility to control the build-out design process was exactly what we needed to get the project completed on time and at budget. Grimes Distribution Center is comprised of four buildings, many of which are home to a variety of local and national businesses such as Arctic Glacier, SkyZone, Safelite Auto Glass and "The U" Iowa's Sports University.
Hubbell Realty Company and CBRE | Hubbell Commercial will be building Grimes Distribution Center V this fall and it will be complete in Fall 2019. This building will also have 100,000 square feet of space which can be customized to tenants needs.
