My name is Cynthia Casillas and I’m an assistant property manager. I have been with Hubbell for three years and I work on the HAL (Hubbell Apartment Living) side.

I had worked with a company before Hubbell that did contract with work Hubbell, so I knew about them. And then I have a friend that worked for Hubbell and they told me they are always hiring. So I applied and got the job.

What are some of your favorite things about your position?

I really enjoy interacting with people of different backgrounds. Its really fun to learn about different cultures and help people find a home.

What’s it like working with your team?

I guess I could say I’m very blessed to have the team I have now; we are like a family. We take care of each other. We work together and that makes the job very easy. If something is going on they will jump in and help you, we need to get this done. Everybody moves about and it’s just a great atmosphere.

What Hubbell core value speaks to you most?

I would say it’s number eight: have fun! That’s a very important part of the job because having fun makes it go easier, the day goes faster and you’re having fun while you work.

What advice would you give to job seekers looking at Hubbell

Research about Hubbell and see if they [the candidate] can be part of this company. I like that Hubbell does a lot of giving back to the community so if you’re the kind of people who likes to do that, it will be a great place to do that.
