West Des Moines, Iowa (January 2, 2019) – Hubbell Realty Company has acquired Omaha-based Boyer Young Development Company, including The Home Company and Premier Land Title Company. This business acquisition is a first for Hubbell and took effect on December 31, 2018.
Like Central Iowa, Omaha continues to see increased population growth and a steadily growing housing market. Boyer Young co-owners, Mark Boyer and Tim Young, as well as The Home Company co-owners, Dave Vogtman and Nick Dolphens, were working on a financial growth plan and welcomed a discussion with Hubbell. Hubbell quickly discovered a mutual reputation for success in the respective markets, the ability to share products and practices and a culturally similar company with the same type of styles and standards.
“Hubbell was looking for a suitable partner to expand and diversify our homebuilding portfolio across the Midwest region and after a year of discussions, we are fortunate to be where we are today. We are thrilled with their leadership, staff, partners and overall community relations and engagement and we look forward to expanding those relationships,” said Rick Tollakson, President & CEO of Hubbell Realty Company.
“Boyer Young and its’ staff are very excited to be joining Hubbell, who has such a long-standing and positive reputation in Central Iowa. We look forward to expanding our home styles in Omaha all while retaining the staff and partners our customers know and trust,” said Tim Young, Co-owner and President of Boyer Young Development Company.
Boyer Young and The Home Company have a well-respected and award-winning reputation within the Omaha homebuilding industry. In 2018, The Home Company built 80 homes for roughly $28 million in gross annual sales. Boyer Young Development Company, The Home Company and Premier Land Title Company will continue operating under the same names, as Hubbell-owned entities.
