"We've been able to impact tens of thousands of Iowans through our builds and we truly enjoy the process."

The Philanthropy Day awards recognize individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the quality of life in Central Iowa through their many generous contributions. This marks the 36th year the Central Iowa Chapter of AFP has participated in this national day of recognition, honoring philanthropists in communities throughout the United States.

The Hubbell Extreme Build started in 2006 when Hubbell was approached by ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to rebuild a home in Tama County. Since then, Hubbell and its trade partners have done an extreme build every four years: 9 Homes in 9 Days for 9 Families with Anawim Housing; Cabins for Campers in 2013 at Easterseals Iowa; Ronald McDonald House of Central Iowa in 2017 and this year, 2021's Care for Kids returning to Easterseals Iowa.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) represents more than 26,000 fundraisers in 170 chapters throughout the world, working to advance philanthropy. The association fosters development and growth of fundraising professionals and promotes high ethical standards in the fundraising profession. The Central Iowa Chapter of AFP represents more than 150 nonprofits in the Central Iowa area.
