Origin Homes, a homebuilding company specializing in build-on-your-lot homes, has entered the central Iowa marketplace. Origin Homes, led by Matt Daniels, is adding a renewed focus on the build-on-your-lot concept with the willingness to travel across Iowa’s 99 counties to build new construction homes. Origin Homes has customizable floorplans, and alternatively, homebuyers can also bring their own blueprints for semi-custom, or fully custom builds.

“It’s really important to us that Origin Homes builds in a place that is important to the homebuyer. Whether that’s on a piece of land they already own with a personal blueprint, or if they need help finding a location and floorplan - we have all of those options ready and waiting,” said Daniels, the Director of Operations, who brings nearly 20 years of residential construction experience and knowledge to Origin Homes. “In today’s market, homebuyers want the flexibility to pick their lot and put the specific home they envision on that land no matter where it’s located.”

Origin Homes will offer 24 base plans and most homes will start in the mid-$300’s, with price ranges depending on the custom or semi-custom finishes. Daniels says his focus is on bringing quality homes at a more affordable price point, without the locational limits experienced with other local builders. Origin will also work with homebuyers to develop and prep their land for construction.

“We’re really looking forward to creating long-term relationships with local contractors, trade partners and city jurisdictions throughout the rural areas where we’re building.
