Origin Homes has broken ground on their second phase of five (5) homes in Knoxville's Veterans District.
As part of their 2025 Rural Housing Initiative, Origin Homes is building five homes in Knoxville, five homes in Conrad and three homes in Jefferson this spring with homes finishing later this summer and fall.
"We had fantastic feedback from the council, staff and community about what they liked about the homes and what they'd like to see us do differently, so it was really rewarding to embark on phase two of this neighborhood and introduce more housing options to Marion County. We tailor our rural housing initiative to what works best for the community, and we look forward to seeing these come to life later this year," said Matt Daniels, Director of Operations for Origin Homes.
Origin began their Rural Housing Initiative in 2023 when they selected Knoxville, Manning and Gowrie as their first communities. Origin built five homes in each, for a total of 15 homes, all aimed at increasing workforce housing options in rural areas.
Origin announced Knoxville, Conrad and Jefferson last August as their 2024-2025 communities and plan to release more renderings and timing for those later this spring.
The team is currently reviewing city applications and coordinating community visits to determine their next round of communities for the 2025-2026 program. If you're interested in Origin building in your community, please CLICK HERE.
