Des Moines, IA – The Home Builders Association of Greater Des Moines (DSM HBA) announced its 2025 Annual Award Winners during President’s Night on Thursday, November 13, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Johnston.
President’s Night is a signature annual event celebrating the outgoing president, recognizing outstanding members, inducting Hall of Fame honorees, and voting on the incoming board of directors.
Each year, award recipients are selected by Association leadership, with others presented by the Ambassador Committee. Three awards—named in remembrance of influential past leaders—carry special significance within the Association.
2025 Annual Award Winners
- Builder of the Year: Chris Pickard, Sage Homes
- Associate of the Year: Anthony Lyne, RE/MAX Concepts
- Member of the Year: Logan Galloway, Vibrant Insurance Group
- New Member of the Year: Ben Gerdes, Vibrant Insurance Group
- Ambassador of the Year: Steve Schrodt, Nebraska Furniture Mart
- Young Professional of the Year: Allison Barnes, Comparion Insurance
Lloyd E. Clarke Leadership Award: Rachel Flint, Hubbell Homes
Presented for exemplary current and past leadership within the DSM HBA and its committees and councils.
George Mirras Membership Award: Mark Riley, North Star Development
Recognizing exceptional participation in membership drives and outstanding success in recruiting and retaining members.
Al Cummings Achievement Award: Steph Reed, Partners by Design Homes, Inc.
Honoring long-term, continuous contributions to the DSM HBA.
Hall of Fame Induction
The DSM HBA proudly announced the induction of Dan Knoup, Executive Officer of the Association, into the Hall of Fame. Inductees are recognized for years of dedicated service at the local, state, and national levels.
Knoup has represented the industry nationally through NAHB as a Board Member, Director at Large, Appointed Member, and Leadership Council participant, along with service on numerous committees. He previously served as President of the DSM HBA in 2011 and was named Builder of the Year in 2008. We thank Knoup for his years of contribution to our industry!
