Des Moines, IA (October 23, 2018) – Hubbell Realty Company has started construction on Linc, an apartment community, in Gray’s Station, Des Moines newest urban neighborhood. Linc will have 227 units, each with a balcony. The $48 million
project will serve as the gateway into Gray’s Station and will kick start the neighborhood which covers more than 75 acres and includes multi-family for-sale housing, rental apartments, condominiums, commercial spaces, parks and bridges to Gray’s
Lake.
“Linc is really the beginning of the Gray’s Station neighborhood as a whole. This apartment community will have unique walk-out units, apartments with outstanding views of downtown and of course, all of the amenities that our downtown renters
know and love,” said Kris Saddoris, Vice President of Commercial Development for Hubbell.
Linc will have an outdoor community space with a pool, community room, test kitchen, adjoining dog park and community garden space. This area will also feature shipping containers with murals painted by local artist Ben Schuh, which will be used as entry
points for the community space.
To the south, development of Gray’s Station will continue with for-sale homes featuring pocket parks, bike-friendly streets and a unique wetland park system. This also includes the construction of a pedestrian bridge and bike trails leading to and from Gray’s Lake and Water Works Park. Gray’s Station will continue to be built in multiple stages over the next 10-plus years as Hubbell transforms the once unused land into an urban neighborhood.
