Hubbell Homes building Grover Woods, workforce housing

Hubbell Homes will begin construction on Grover Woods, a community focused on providing workforce housing along Hubbell Avenue on Des Moines’ east side.

The neighborhood will have 84 home lots available and will be built in three phases. The first phase, which
will include 30 homes, will start as soon as possible this spring. Grover Woods will have six available
floorplans with a couple of elevations for each home, ranging from 1,200 to 1,600 square feet. The home
prices will start in the low $210’s and go up to $270’s, with some homes offering a slab-on-grade option,
opting to not have a basement.

“We looked at the market and what was in high demand right now, especially when it comes to workforce
housing. Whether it’s a young family or skilled labor jobs, homes in this price point and in these square
footages are needed,” said Rachel Flint, Vice President of Hubbell Homes. “We’ve seen great success in
these similar sized homes in the neighboring Summersfield community, which really inspired us to create

Grover Woods.”

Grover Woods will also be in a homeowner’s association with minimal fees to care for the nearby
detention basins and common area elements. Please see attached home renderings for an idea of
floorplan elevations. To learn more about Grover Woods, visit hubbellhomes.com
