West Des Moines-based builder Hubbell Homes is bringing inexpensive new homes, aimed to house the region's workforce, to Des Moines' east side.
Grover Woods, at 4500 Hubbell Ave., will eventually have 84 new homes ranging in size from 1,200- to 1,600-square-feet. The homes will sell for $210,000 to $270,000 — a rare price for new home construction in the metro, which typically hovers at or above $300,000.
