Buyers of the first new condominiums to open in downtown Des Moines in more than a decade are preparing to move in next month.
Hubbell Realty Co. has pre-sold eight of the 52 units at Edison, 400 Southwest Seventh St., south of the downtown business district. Although Des Moines has seen townhome construction in the city's core, Edison markes the first owner-occupied condo units to open since 2009, when the 4th Street Condos, 119 Fourth St., and E5W, 309 E. Fifth St., hit the market.
