Hubbell Realty Company has begun construction of the third and final rental apartment community, called Level, within the Bridge District neighborhood in the East Village. Level will be located on the north end of the community, adjacent to The Banks for-sale townhomes. This five-story, 114-unit apartment community with an estimated cost of $29 million, will have beautiful views of the downtown skyline, Botanical Gardens and the Des Moines River.
Level will have 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments as well as both an indoor and outdoor gym, heated parking garage, kayak storage and great patio spaces throughout the community. Native grasses, trees and additional walking and biking connections will be added throughout Bridge District as the neighborhood nears completion.
“Given this is our final apartment community within Bridge District, Level will definitely be a focal point in the neighborhood. We’re looking forward to adding additional walkable, connected living opportunities to downtown. Level will undoubtedly have great views of the river, direct access to downtown and everything available in the East Village. In addition, we’ve added even more work-from-home amenities to this community as well as kayak storage as the Iowa Confluence (ICON) Water Trails begins to become a reality near this neighborhood,” said Kris Saddoris, Vice President Multi-family Development.
“Per our research, Level is the only multifamily project going vertical in downtown throughout the remainder of this year and potentially in all of 2022. Many other projects have delayed construction due to ongoing price increases, or adjustments to planning,” said Zach Scheckel, Property Research Director for CBRE | Hubbell Commercial.
Level’s construction has an estimated completion in spring 2023.
