Home Builders Association of Iowa announce new round of officers, leadership

Des Moines, Iowa — The Home Builders Association of Iowa recently inducted five officers and business leaders into leading roles for the association.  

Officers who were inducted by State Representative Stephanie Reed include: 

  • Rachel Flint as Chair: Flint is Senior Vice President of Iowa Homebuilding and Land Development Operations with Hubbell Realty Co. 

  • Ben Richter as National Associate Director: Richter is Vice President Sales Manager at Beisser Lumber Co., based out of Grimes 

  • Jenna Fitch, of Ames, as State Secretary: Fitch is an Iowa-native who is Assistant Business Manager at Furman Realty  

  • Kevin McCreedy, of Iowa City, as Second Vice Chair: McCreedy is founder and owner of McCreedy-Ruth Construction LLC which was founded 25 years ago. 

  • Brian Moss, of Quad Cities, as First Vice Chair: Moss is a lead designer at ProSource out of Davenport. 

  • Justin Dodge, of Ames, as Immediate Past President:  Dodge is a Project Manager at Hunziker & Associates, Inc.  

“This outstanding group of industry leaders have already made an immense impact on homebuilding and I’m confident they’ll continue to strive for a unified, strong homebuilding market throughout our state,” said Jay Iverson, Executive Officer at HBA Iowa. “They will continue to advocate for policies that promote housing affordability, job growth and economic development.”  

Flint is only the second female elected to lead the federation in its 65-year history and is the first female to serve as President of both the local chapter and the state. In her role at Hubbell, Flint provides strategic leadership, planning and oversight of three homebuilding companies (Hubbell Homes, Embarq Signature Homes and Origin Homes) as well as land development and HRC Association Management divisions. 

“It’s a tremendous honor to hold this position and support every facet of homebuilding from small, locally owned businesses to production builders making a national impact on attainable housing. Our top priorities will be housing affordability and workforce development, among many other unifying collaborations across the homebuilding industry,” said Flint.
