Grimes, IA (November 7, 2018) – Hubbell Realty Company has started construction on the fifth Grimes Distribution Center facility. The $8 million building sits on over eight acres and will have frontage along Highway 141, which carries more than 20,000 commuters every day.
This building will feature 110,000 square feet of available warehouse space which can be customized for tenant’s needs. This project includes 32-foot clear height ceilings, an Early Suppression Fast Response (ESFR) sprinkler system, a significant number of dock and drive-in doors and highly visible monument and building signage.
“This will be the fifth and final building constructed in the Grimes Distribution Center. Grimes V will differ from our prior four buildings in that it will be full precast construction, it will have significant glass within the facade and it sits adjacent to Highway 141. This will provide a fantastic opportunity for a tenant to benefit from a heavily-traveled highway and excellent accessibility,” said Chris Trosper, Development Project Manager with Hubbell.
It’s expected to be completed in fall 2019 and will be located at 1301 SE Gateway Drive. The first four buildings within Grimes Distribution Center feature businesses such as: Pole Position Raceway Des Moines, a go-cart facility; Pipeline Packaging Corporation, Capitol Express, Wright Service Corporation, Safelite Auto Glass, Arctic Glacier and more.
