Hubbell Apartment Living's Ashford Ridge community suffered a devastating fire on Sunday, March 8. The residents from the 3600 building have been displaced, but are now working with our teams on long-term housing at other Hubbell communities of their choice.
We'd like to say thank you to the Urbandale, West Des Moines and Clive fire departments, Polk County Emergency Management, the Red Cross, Urbandale Community Action Network and the surrounding neighbors on Patricia Drive for their quick-thinking care and support.
The Urbandale Fire Department is unsure of the cause and is unsure if it will be determined. The 3600 building is a total loss; however, the other two buildings and leasing office were unscathed. The building has been deemed not safe to enter and will be off limits until further notice.
