Construction on Fusion rental townhomes begins at Gray's Station

Hubbell Realty Company is beginning construction on Fusion, a 45-unit rental townhome product within the brand-new Gray’s Station neighborhood. These townhomes will be located along 11th and Tuttle Street, just south of Linc, an apartment community and retail space which is currently under construction.

Fusion will boast a variety of townhomes with multi-story layouts and varying price points. These rental units will be at the entry of Gray’s Station and will be the perfect product for those who are looking to exit apartment-style living without stepping into full-time home ownership.

“We are so excited about Fusion. Similar to our popular 5Fifty5 Townhomes on SW 7th, we believe Fusion will bring a great variety of townhomes to the Gray’s Station neighborhood. This product will be upscale and functional for those looking to upgrade their style of living within a rental opportunity,” said Kris Saddoris, Vice President of Multifamily Development.

Fusion will be at the entrance of Gray’s Station on Tuttle Street and will have access to the paseo, bike trails and pocket parks throughout the community. Hubbell continues to make progress on Linc, an apartment community, as well as working with prospects for the lower-level commercial space which faces MLK Jr. Parkway.

Hubbell Homes expects to begin construction on the for-sale, single-family homes in late May 2019 and building will continue into 2020. Hubbell will also be constructing for-sale condominiums which will face Gray’s Lake and overlook the city’s wetland basin. With this great variety of housing, homeowners and renters will be able to enter the neighborhood at a variety of price points and explore multiple rental and ownership options.

The Gray’s Station pedestrian bridge and wetland basin are currently under construction with expected completion dates of late summer 2019. The bridge will serve as a connector from downtown Des Moines and Gray’s Station to the Gray’s Lake and Water Works Park areas.
