Altoona, IA (March 5, 2020) – Hubbell Realty Company is beginning construction on Edencrest at Tuscany, the sixth community within the Edencrest series, at the corner of 8th St and 14th Avenue SE in Altoona. Edencrest at Tuscany will cost $20.4 million and will have a single-story building consisting of 40 homes; 20 assisted living homes featuring studio, one- and two-bedroom options and 20 memory care homes. The three-story independent living community will connect via a courtyard and will have 44 homes featuring have one- and two-bedroom options.
The Edencrest at Tuscany community will also have a community and dining room, fitness center, pub, outdoor patio and gathering spaces for the residents. The independent living homes will also offer attached and detached garages as well as balcony and patio options.
“This is the first Edencrest community where we will be offering independent living as an option. We’ve heard from so many Altoona residents who want to remain close to their community and families. Edencrest at Tuscany is located directly north of the Hubbell Homes’ Tuscany neighborhood, which features ranch and two-story for-sale homes, walking trails, conservation areas and the nearby Terrace Hills Golf Course. Hubbell has partnered with Senior Housing Consultants, Inc. from Cedar Rapids as its operational manager. Senior Housing comes with an extensive history in assisted living and memory care facility management in more than 20 communities throughout Iowa.
