Waukee, IA (April 1, 2021) – Residents have moved in to Hubbell Realty Company’s newest rental community, Centennial Crossing, in Waukee.
The 17-acre neighborhood, which is directly south of the popular 33-acre Centennial Park and across the street from Waukee High School, will have an estimated 109 homes when complete at the end of 2022. These attached single-family homes will be a mix of two- and three-bedrooms ranch and two-story floorplans, ranging from 1,300-1750 square feet with attached 2-car garages.
“After researching the market, we found a high need for rental homes, not only in this area, but in the housing market in general,” said Kris Saddoris, Vice President of Multifamily Development at Hubbell. “With the speed that Waukee is growing, these homes will be spacious enough for a growing family, but easy enough to maintain for someone looking to downsize and get rid of home maintenance. Not to mention, the location is a prime spot for families and active adults.”
Centennial Crossing will have an on-site clubhouse and pool available to residents. The community will incorporate the surrounding running and biking trails, a natural swale that runs diagonally through the neighborhood and into adjacent Glynn Village, a Hubbell conservation community as well as access to nearby Waukee Community School District amenities. Hubbell, alongside Waukee city officials, hope the community trail will eventually connect to Centennial Park via a tunnel under University Avenue.
The homes will begin around $1,700 and range to $1,900 per month. Construction began in mid-2020 with onsite utilities and paving work and the community is expected to be partially completed in 2021 with the remainder of homes finishing in 2022.
