It has been an exciting first half of 2022 for Hubbell Realty Company! With so many developments in various stages of construction, there is sure to be more excitement on the horizon. Here are some of the developments happening in 2022 (or ones we can share right now):
Breaking ground last fall, Hubbell Realty Company began construction on a new rental apartment and townhome community called Forge65. This $28 million neighborhood, which sits on approximately 8 acres, will feature two 48-unit apartment buildings as well as 38 townhomes surrounding interior parking garages and space, for a total of 134 homes.
The homes at Forge65 will have a variety of sizes, style finishes and interior floorplans. Between the apartments and townhomes, there will be 34 three-bedroom options, 60 two-bedroom options plus an additional 40 one-bedroom options offered in the community. Edencrest at Timberline
Hubbell Construction Services has started construction of Edencrest at Timberline, an 80-unit, full-service senior living community in Urbandale. Edencrest at Timberline will be located northeast of the roundabout at 142nd Avenue and Douglas Parkway and will offer independent living homes, assisted living units and memory care units. Developed by Hubbell, and operated by Jay Bird Senior Living, the community will be the seventh Edencrest community in Central Iowa. The homes are expected to be available in spring 2023. Be on the lookout for additional Edencrest announcements as Hubbell is eyeing two more nearby communities to introduce Edencrest.
In the Bridge District neighborhood in the East Village, Hubbell Realty Company is building the third and final apartment community, called Level. Level will be located at the north end of the neighborhood north of The Banks for-sale townhomes. This five-story, 114-unit apartment community will have beautiful views of the downtown skyline, Botanical Gardens, the Women of Achievement Bridge, and the Des Moines River.
Level will have 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom apartments as well as an on-site indoor/outdoor gym, heated parking garage and an over-sized patio that extends from the fifth-floor mezzanine. More native grasses, trees and possibly more community trails, as well as kayak storage for future ICON water trail use, will add to the connectivity of the area. Read more about Level here.
Four Mile Distribution Center
Hubbell Realty Company has started construction on the first phase of the Four Mile Distribution Center in Ankeny. The industrial warehouse will have 157,500 square feet and will sit on approximately 13 acres at SE Four Mile Drive and SE Corporate Woods Drive in Ankeny, immediately north of the recently finished Crosswinds Industrial Park.
The speculative warehouse will have 15 bays, 26 dock doors, 32-foot clear height ceilings and will have easy access to Interstates 80 and 35. This will be Hubbell’s third warehouse in Ankeny, joining Crosswinds I and Crosswinds II. Read more about Four Mile Distribution Center here.
